Well, they don't look too shy. Your film did pretty well with the dynamic range. That is a tough exposure situation.

No, they weren't shy, and when I intercepted them while they were walking- and gestured with my camera- they quickly obliged and posed like this.
I took a shot, smiled and said "Thanks."
They spoke no English, but my sign language and gestures were clear.
They said "You're welcome" or something like that in their own language, and we all continued on our way.
When I'm traveling, the light is what it is, and in desert-like locations- when the sky is clear- it's often a harsh-light day.
But I just shoot away because the alternative is to have no photo at all .

Makes good sense to me Charlie. I enjoyed seeing this one, harsh light and all.
