Here are some photos from a road trip I took in February to Arches NP and Canyonlands NP. Yeah, it was pretty damn cold out, but there were almost no people and the snow made the landscapes look absolutely stunning. Oh, and visiting Arches at night for star trails and not seeing a soul the entire time (even on the road) was an amazing experience.

Thanks and enjoy!

Nice series. I've always wanted to see that area with snow all around.

Very cool shots here. It's always nice when the weather gets a bit colder or wilder as it really knocks the crowds down. And when one is out there by themselves, it's a super cool experience that really can't be put into words.

All of these are really cool. I would suggest to clone out the 3 areas of flares out of #2. Where the sun itself flares as a star is super cool, but the other 3 areas of small circles to me just distract, especially as they are disjointed. Often leaving a solid line of circles of the flares can be effective, but more so with portraits than Landscapes. But here, they don't work.

I would say #3 of Park Ave is my favorite, nice work with the stars. Is it with stacked photos or one single one? Either way, it looks great.

Hey Jim, thanks for mentioning that about the flares in #2. I fully agree and did a version below where I painted them out. And that's the moon by the way, not the sun. Both photos 2 & 3 were single shots straight from the camera with the moon lighting up the scene.

Appreciate the kind words guys!

Very good shots. In my personal opinion the flares in #2 are not a problem. They are proof that you took the shot in one frame and didn't mess with it in photoshop, which makes the shot all the better. Either way, #3 is spectacular and my favorite by far.

Cool set. I like how you got the moon in the star trail shot in # 2. #3 is a fine image. Well done.

Nice work with the edit, I do like it. And yeah it's cool when you can get the moon to flare like it is the sun. I took a shot kits a month or so ago with Turret Arch where the moon was flaring like the sun, it's a cool look when you can get it.
