p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Two Angels

As seen from Observation Point looking down on Angels Landing in Zion national park. These two people standing on the furthest point on this dangerous peak. I'd hiking with my 70-200 f/4 lens with the hopes of getting some good telephoto shots of angels landing from the higher peak of Observation Point. The two people really added to the sense of scale. I'm just glad they were there at the right time.

Seeing the people does give a sense of the awesome scale of the place, but I didn't even see them at first. Once I read your intro, I went looking for them. Perhaps they would stand out more if you increased the contrast? The photo is a bit flat as it is. You might also consider a crop, though then you would lose some of the cliff's height. The dusting of snow on the rock is really nice, though.

I used to climb Angels Landing every year on my birthday. Amazing more people don't fall off considering the procession up the trail. Seemed there was a rash of falls for a bit. Once I was all alone up there, or so I thought. Turned around and there was some guy standing right behind me...

Anyway, I really like this shot Gordon. Pretty realistic processing IMO.
