just throwing this out there. Got a special rate for Alaska cruises and cruise tours, but it's based on double occupancy. The rates are 50% off, and a seriously great deal. I couldnt afford to do a guided lodge tour

Something to consider: the itineraries.
The cruise only is probably 7-days up and down the Inside Passage from Vancouver.
The cruise tour probably means a one-way portion on the Inside Passage plus some good sightseeing in the interior of Yukon and/or Alaska.
Check the itineraries CAREFULLY.
