So... I've been playing with a new favorite lens (well I had one a while back, but didn't know how awesome it was until much later). It's a 50mm on 6x6 (roughly a 28mm horizontally and 21mm vertically. I.e. If you shot with a 21mm and then cropped to a square.). For me it's the perfect focal length for documentary shtuff. Though its not such an easy lens to use (for me). Especially with a waist level finder. But good stuff comes to those who work hard

No, not yet, but I am seriously going down that path soon. At least that's the plan.

Several of these I really like. I don't know if it's because it's Tri-X or your way of shooting or what, but they have a really old timey feel to them, that I like.

1 - I really like this one - oh ha ha, just read what that was, I thought it was a leaf at first.
8 - ha ha, I know it's not, but it looks like some good booger mining action there.
12 - oh man, I'd *really* like this one if it were a smidge wider and didn't cut off the two boys.
13 - Something about this one, I dig. Too bad his whole shadow wasn't included, though.
17 - Quirky I like it. But it hurts my feet just thinking about trouncing around bushes with no shoes on.
20 - Heh heh, I don't think a hood is going to help much, when your basically pointed *right at* the sun, Z.

yeah in 12 I kind of ran out of space, and I was shooting from the hip, kind of hard to do with my setup...

I don't know how they do it, but the kids love climbing in the bushes without shoes... I got over being scared and now I just take photos

To butcher the old baseball quote, the subject matter is boring for those with boring minds.

5 - cool lines and orthogonals with the open book
10 - so grown up seeming
12 - awesome chaos with the kids going in independent directions, but would like it more with a bit more room on the right
15 - good stuff
17 - perfect title and cool portrait
19 - love your littler ones in the ivy
