Love the DOF, and as mentioned above, a more unique and different view. Only niggle is the horizon across the middle - I tried a more aggressive crop of the sky (just by scrolling with my mouse) and it really seemed to accentuate the depth of the shot - just a thought. Nice job though, especially given what looks to be some rather flat light.
This is a cool looking field. I agree with Mike on his comments, the horizon is dead center. As to the sky, I have always found that when skies are full of clouds, but only an edge has actual sky, it just doesn't balance. Like any element, the items that make up a sky, (Clouds and sky) need to balance themselves also. So by moving the horizon up by cropping down to lose the blue sky helps with both issues.
Thanks for taking the time to respond. You and Mike both picked up a now obvious flaw in the composition. I will try to post a cropped version tonight.
