I was able to figure-out what it was, but perhaps a bit more DOF might better establish the object and message without losing the theme of depth of field.
I thought about focus stacking it to include the point sharp also, but since my real point/intended message is the eye (not the tip) of the needle, I decided to try it first at this shallow dof for now.
