My first attempt at this type of photography. I frequently browse through the photos here in the forum and I'm always blown away by the sheer amount of talent and quality I find. I would like to share a few photos I took today at my local zoo here in Seattle, WA. I'm looking for any kind of help in improving myself so ANY kind of critique is welcome. Thanks!

Good looking zoo shots. A tad on the large size. I like the bgs on the first and the last 2. The roo needs a bit more space in front and on top, imo.
Ok, very good. I knew the first one was a bit off. I didn't have a choice but to crop so close though since there was a boulder partially obstructing the lower right field of view. Maybe I should have just left it for the B roll.
I was suprised at how the last two turned out. I was shooting through some thick and dingy glass.
Story behind that last photo. I was actually trying to get a shot from another vantage point, but other photographers were already camped out with their super telephotos crowding the area with their 600mm (of the IS and VR varieties), gimbals, and gitzos. So there I was with my "lowly" 300 and tcx2, relegated to the children's viewing area which was enclosed in finger smeared and scratched glass with no room for a tripod. The prime viewing area was obstructed by hills and shrubbery for the spot the pride was hanging out at so I thought the current spit I was at was better than nothing. After about two minutes of waiting and avoiding little childrens' attempts at overrunning me, The lion cubs decided to start being playful closer to my area and it gave me a chance to snag a few handheld shots.
Dumb luck wins!
