Just got back home to Australia and will try and catch up with a few posts. After leaving Las Vegas, after Valley of Fire, we had a very big days drive of over 450 miles to get to the newest National Park in the USA....Pinnacles National Park in California. Previously a "National Monument", Pinnacles was upgraded on January 10th this year to full National Park status. And this made it our 50th USA National Park - only 9 more to go. We spent the night in the car at the campground and I was up nice and early to catch the sun rising across the peaks. Once again we were into pretty warm weather, up to about 88 degrees, quite a contrast to the 7 degrees from Bryce less than a week ago. On our last day we also managed to fit it the drive from Monterey down through Big Sur along the coast before flying out of LA for the long trip home. Another fantastic trip with many, many images to work through.
I want to say thanks for all the comments my posts received over the last 3 weeks....we always seemed short of time and so I didn't get a chance to respond to all my posts, but I do apprecaite the time people take to make comments.
And I also wanted to mention how nice it was to catch up with a fellow FMer, Bob Ross (uintaangler) and his wife in Zion where we had a great time over dinner discussing all things photographic.
cheers Andrew
