Sometimes we do have to work with what we have. But this shot has some issues that go beyond just being shot at Mid Day. It would seem like you pushed it too much in processing. The sky is to light of a cyan, the hills in the background defintely are not that blueish color in real life. So while the biggest suggestion is to just try and arrange the timing of your vacation such that you can shoot sunrise or sunset... You need to not push the contrast so much that highlights start blowing out.
