Hey folks,

I'm a DC wedding photographer.. (http://jeffsimpsonphoto.com/) but have slowly been allocating more and more time towards traveling and landscapes over the last year or two.

February allowed me to FINALLY go back through 2.5 years of travel photos to pick out favorites and edit them. So far, i've only got a few to show.. but a few will turn into a few dozen!

There is some real talent here, so I would love any comments or constructive criticism before I make final adjustments for my future landscape website.

the first landscape is one from a California mountainside:

ps. Mr. Miranda, if you see this.. please change my username to Jeff Simpson.. thank you!!

Hey Jeff,

Welcome to FM Landscape. You have a pretty cool shot here for your first one. I like the strong gren in the forest in the background, but you do have some green up in the sky that's a bit misplaced, maybe go back and desat that area? Other than that, you took what could be a hard scene to make sense from and not be a busy mess, into an interesting shot. Your handling of the sun was good here.

Thanks Jim!

Good point on the sky. I will see what I can do.

This is a very interesting shot. Excellent lighting to work with for one. Certainly an enhancer. Think I would have moved to the right just a little bit, as I find the lower left corner "clogged". Kind of blocking me from seeing what I want to see. Love the dead trees and how they work in this scene.
