greetings scott...no 1 gives me a sense of depth and draws me into the foto with the moonlight shadows and stars. the others have more of a flat light, lacking color. must have been a great helicopter trip in. did you ski there? bill
I'm going to buck the trend and pick #1 and 2. With either of these I can envision myself sitting out there with my Crazy Creek and a carafe of hot chocolate watching scene unfold in front of me.

Scott, I like them all, but like #1 apart from the others, that's a cool shot. But I think the sky may be darkened down a bit to much; it seems to envelop the top of the mountains. I think a mask that allowed the peaks to be brighter might move this one to the head of the class.
Otherwise, I prefer #3, but I think I'd like it even more it it were combined with #4 to include the right mountain cliffs and be framed by the grove of trees at far right. I realize these weren't taken from the same location, so such a composition might not have been possible, but that's my wish list. On last thing, there seems to be a slightly darker stain on the snow at the very bottom edge of #3. Don't know if that's dust or a shadow, but its noticeable.
#1 and #4 for me, with the first being my favorite. I like the "higher contrast" lighting, although it seems odd to be applying those terms to moonlight. The first also has the advantage of being a little more out of the ordinary (within extraordinary scenery!) with the stars and moonlight. Beautiful images.
