Tickell's Blue Flycatcher....

Howdy everybody, posting here after some time. Recently I was able to disappear into a forest reserve and afterwards camp inside in a very dense rain forest in Sri Lanka for 4 days. Will try to post little by little the collection I got.

These three captures were taken at the Bodinagala forest reserve. All shots were shot in high ISO due to limited lighting condition.

Sounds like an incredible adventure...and glad you will be sharing the spoils with us. That is one beautiful flycatcher and you did a great job photographing it. The first is my favorite and glad you got at least one at a relatively normal iso.

Hi Charles, yes without IS you need steady hands. The first one I took on tripod and came quite well. I am pleased with its results too.
