Amazing when an epiphany shows up. Reading one of the awesome posts in this forum, and someone mentioned using a 300 2.8 almost exclusively from the bench. I am sorry I don't recall who it was, but thank you! tried it a year ago and couldn't get the hang of it. shot it this weekend and I liked the isolation much better!
I usually shoot it wide open, but wanted to try a deeper DOF, these cameras have so much more capability in low light, I wanted to see what my parameters are. I also shot some at f4.
May or may not have been me from my strobed youth hockey with the 1.4x tele... But for HS level yeah the 300 is nice. Would prefer the 200-400 when strobed for either.
Frank, Yes I bought a template from Chris, he is awesome! thanks for the tip. I am setting it up now with the boosters, so i am trying to get isolated images of as many as possible!
Geoffrey, i haven't tried strobing hockey yet, but I am intrigued by using the 200-400. It is my favorite lens outside. Don't know if my speed lights have enough power? were you using Einsteins? Would love to see some images from that set up. thanks

Andy,
Excellent images. Thanks for sharing them with us.
If you don't mind, would you please share some of the posters you create, with us?
Will do I added another post. Contact Chris at CMP designs on this board. He has tons of great poster templates at reasonable prices, I just bought one from him. I am sure he can get you what you need, I am very pleased with his work and his professionalism.
