Went out with fellow FM'er Rick this morning.

This was shot in the forest off Sultan Basin Rd. outside of Sultan, WA. Handheld at ISO 800, f5.6 at 1/250 and 400mm on the T3i.

I love it, John.
Getting good images in the NW rainforests is always tougher than I expect. Isolating things on the forest floor is one way to go, and you've done an excellent job of it here.

I love this kind of lighting! Always fascinating how the light can single out certain objects.
I think I would be tempted to crop out the right part of the image, the bottom right loig and the bit of log, leaving just the plant and the two-"legged" log. That would strengthen the image a lot for me.
