A pleasant, no-nonsense guy.

Perfect use of light, nice sharpness! Guy in the background is a bit annoying.
I'm wondering when you always cut of the top of the strangers heads/hair...

Nice capture Bob, I would prefer not to have the large dark/black mass in the upper right.

Thank you, Kappuh. I like close, atypical crops. This makes the eyes a bit off center and a bit more dramatic (I think).
Thanks Steady and Douglas. I did not think about the black blob in the background. I am usually more concerned with hot spots.

Then I would suggest to crop it even closer to get a more personal feeling

Like this one a lot. The guy and the black spot seemed minor to me - hardly noticed them. On second look, isn't the black area essential to showing the vanishing point of the background?

Kapp, having seen your Flickr set, close crops are definitely your "thing". Mine get closer one week and farther the next - can't find my sweet spot.
Thanks, Jim. I think that the black area probably adds some depth to the image, but the light areas even more so.
