Interesting picture Paul.
I look at it and ponder the story behind the road's current use.
I see runners, walkers, cyclists and dog walkers but no cars.
I notice on the right the old line and arrow(but not successfully) have been sand blasted away. Next I see the double line which to me says roadway for cars, pot holes in the middle indicating vehicular traffic but none seen and only a single cyclist in that lane where the other two are in the far left lane.
There is a lot in that picture one can ponder about.

Russ I like your capture too, the eye catching part for me is the red ribbon, the red U tatooed on her face and the red V shape on her gymnastic suit. My guess is it is from a University competition.
I also find the pose and facial expression is one of success but at the same time she appears to be inviting us with her hand jesture.
I also like how the background blurs and when you look long enough faces start to emerge from the oof blurs.

Lottsa crop enlargement and softness in this image because 200mm is not that long , but what the heck.......at least AF was speedy enough to capture a very fast moving accipiter in attack......and not flapping in one spot, not hovering, not landing, not taking off....

Thank you. I agree it's cool that the individual members of the crowd begin to emerge when you pay attention to the background.

I tried to immitate you, but not with the exotic bird as in your picture....
That is a very fine shot........"exotic" species matter a lot to "birders". Photographers go after the aesthetic appeal and impact of their images even when they shoot a trash can.
