We've been in an "inversion" weather condition for weeks and weeks here - an ugly blanket of fog/haze/smog/smoke that holds in the cold and blocks the sun. Yesterday the wife and I walked the dogs up in the foothills, in the snow and 10 degree temperature, and decided to try to make the most of the weird sky.
In 3, if the dog in the foreground was in focus, I would've printed as large as possible. Just a gorgeous shot! With that dog slightly OOF, 1 and 2 are my game-winners here. Great job!

Thanks, I agree! I'd been shooting with pretty shallow DOF, because I was generally capturing just one dog at a time and wanted nice bokeh. I was bummed to see that I'd only gotten the back dog (Joy) in focus on that one. Oh well!
The first two are amazing. Really spectacular shots.
On 3 the focus seems to be somewhere in between, I think it would have been better served with both dogs in focus, especially since any other background seems to be non-existent.
4 is a good shot but just pales in comparison to the first two.
