From a recent holiday portrait kids session. Mom was not supposed to be taking photos
that day, but I convinced her to do some anyway. So she was not dressed for the occasion.
I like the pose, the background and general setup. Looks candid but well framed. I differ in the assessment of the mother's clothing - I think the jeans don't fit the overall feel of the shot. It distracts. You mentioned though that was an unplanned event, so there is that and nothing you could do about it anyway.
