Yes, if you are talking about saving it in the PSD file for later use. If you want to fatten for a Jpeg to post on the web or print, you will need to remove the layer.
The action only takes a second to run on a file, it can easily be ran when needed.
Chad, I love this action already.
It's great to fix the small parts in an image that are easily overlooked as too bright or too dark.
And it's also great to push the whites and blacks in a B&W image without creating white and black holes.
