Too new on this forum to have had the chance to get your C & C. What's the point to post if you don't get C & C?
That's he very reason I am now posting here after hesitating for a long time (my English isn't that good). It seems to me that C & C are much more common and frequent on the ''Landscape'' forum than on this one.
Most people like C&C. Sometimes it dashes our own thoughts of how great we think our work might be. Not everyone can win the big prize, but with help we can inch a little closer. Thanks. Don
Keep on keeping on Karl. Your comments are up front, honest, intended for improvement and well taken. When I first joined this forum you and Dave in LA were selfless in your approach by giving me assistance as how to improve my pictures and this was much appreciated. Since then others have chipped in placing pointers about post processing, layers and noise removal which.
Personally, I see fantastic images posted here on fm and am at an impasse. I don't know what to do in order to improve and that is where your suggestions and suggestions of others shine.
I ,for one, am most appreciative and grateful for all your very constructive comments . Your time and efforts are helping me learn and grow. I thank you for your time , caring and helpful instructions.
I don't feel that I have enough knowledge to give the detailed critiques, that you and others take the time to do.
But, will also make more of an effort to express what I see.
Thank you Karl for your dedication to this board. It is rare and one of the reasons it is a wonderful place to hang out.
The only nit I have with this topic is the use of the word nit.
I don't post here as much as I used to but you've always given out honest and constructive critiques and I for one really appreciated your input. I post my images to share and learn from others....not to get a pat on the back.
C&C is always welcome. It's what makes you better. If posters don't want the criticism then don't ask. It's that simple. I personally don't like having smoke blown up my butt if I've posted something second rate. Keep it comin'
I have not posted here enough to know your style of critiquing, Karl. However, if people critique with utmost courtesy and also with the intent that their critique is just an opinion rather than a fact, then it is good to get helpful this type input.
I always really appreciated/enjoyed all your comments, nits, and thoughts Karl. I found that your inputs are dead on, and often, "Wow! Karl sees everything and put them in words". Keep doing what you are doing Karl. You are a great asset to this forum.
Karl, your comments are among the most helpful and constructive on the forum. And you have such kind, genuine tone...your comments are most welcome indeed.
I always enjoy your helpful and constructive nits Karl whether on my posts or on others and learned a huge amount from them. So do please keep it up as just you have been doing.
Happy New year.
Martin
