Not necessarily. The MA was done with the center focus point. Most of the AF problems I've had involved real-world shooting using non-center AF points. The Canon rep I spoke with said it's in theory possible that the outer AF points aren't functioning properly.

Fast lenses stopping down effects has screwed up your outter AF calculation as discussed here: https://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/topic/1179122/5#11247175
