I must say I scoured my image library from 2012 and had really rough time picking a favorite. I kept coming back to this image though. Taken from one of the lookout points in Great Smokey Mountain National Park.
As much for the memory as the shot itself. Having an opportunity to visit Chamonix-Mt. Blanc, France and ascend to the Aiguille du Midi on such a magnificent morning was one of my top lifetime experiences.
Absolutely my most favorite thread of the year. It is just so inspirational to look through all these threads during the year with all of the talent and beautiful locations. Then everybody posts in this best of the best thread. Some fantastic shots in here.
