You just taught me something Tim. I was in Yellowstone in September and took photo's of all the same types of animals but "untight." Now I want to go back and do them differently. Nice work.
So glad to be able to give a reason to get back to Yellowstone

wow - have never seen bison that close, so cool. they look so peaceful and dignified, it is difficult to remember what powerful beasts they are. looks like a productive trip tim!
dorian
They are quite peaceful Dorian, until something upsets them! They sure can be quite large, the big males are very intimidating.

I like tight You did very good, Tim, as framing tight is not easy and it takes a very good eye to get some compelling shots, (except for cutting the nose in the first shot)
2 and 5 are on top of my favorites.
Socrate
We all do my friend Thanks for the good words S Man!!
You made some close friends while you were down there I see
Terrific tight work my friend and a refreshing perspective on these behemoths
Cool comp for #4 followed by a beeeeautiful portrait of the Muley in 5
Last frame is such a winner Tim, love the expression and gobs of detail
Any closer and you could have scratched their ears Tim.
You are making the case well here for shorter glass
Looking forward to seeing more as you get through the pp work.

Hi Martin! Yes indeed I was able to get close and using some shorter glass taught me a lot. I sure did have fun. Thanks Martin!
Interesting comp on these Tim...I was in Yellowstone about five yrs ago, looking at my slides none of them are this tight, I like tight. I have a trip booked for Yellowstone this June looking foward to that, anyway these look great, waiting for the next bach.
