And a belated but heartfelt thanks to you and the other fine-feathered fellow fotographers who take such amazing BIFs. Youse guys take such terrific bird images that I can not only enjoy seeing them on the Bird Forum, but I don't have to bother taking crappy BIFs- which are a waste of time for me and the birds that are doing their best to help me out.

Fantastic photo's as usual Herb!

I did have a technique question on the hawks. Are using a blind? Shoot from car? Stand? How are you getting close enough to get good hunting shots?

I do OK with owls and eagles, but struggle to get good proximity to hunting hawks.

Any tips?

hey herb

these are great. i especially like the second shot with the bird cruising by at eye level. he also has a cool lighting effect on him with the white edges to his whole body. very cool....

Last shot Herb, double catchlight is mighty fine sir! If I am lucky in a few outings I might get 'one' look and shot at a fleeting RTH, this must be a hot spot for you, you're killing me here buddy
