I like the shot, nice pose and lots of detail. Overall the exposure looks nice. The only thing that sort of jumps out at me is that the eye looks like something is just a tad off. It might just be a reflection of snow or something but the bottom of the eye looks like it is a bit too bright. I know this might have been just the way the image looked in real life but the photo might look a bit better if your darkened the bottom of the eye just a tad.

Greg - There lightness comes from the snow below the bird, there is also something in his eye near the back. Thanks for the comments and careful look.

Wonderful shot Rob.
They are amazing birds. So small, so fragile and yet they endure in our very harsh winters. I think they move around all the time because they try to keep warm. However, I may be wrong!
