p.1 #1 · Anyone using LEE filters on the 24-120 f/4?
Hi all,
The walkaround lens I use most is my 24-120 f/4 (on my D700 currently). I like the lens a lot. However, one of its major disadvantages (at least, for me) is that round filters on it can cause bad vignetting. Using my B&W polarizer is just about acceptable (especially if I zoom in a little). However the Tiffen ND grad is unusable (it's quite thick and causes black corners).
I've been thinking of investing on the LEE filter system. Does anyone use it on the 24-120 f/4? Any vignetting issues? And do I really need the wide-angle ring adapter?

PS (sorry, I forgot to add) I love my B&W polarizer and I'd rather not get the LEE one. Is it advisable to mount the adapter ring in front of the polarizer (it has front threads so I assume it's possible to do so)? Thanks.

I have no issues with a B+W XS-Pro CPL on the 24-120/4. I get a touch of vignetting by stacking a Hoya Pro1D ND filter on top of it, at 24mm, but nothing so objectionable. Stick to slim filters, and it's not that much of an issue, IMO.
