I have been using this combo for two years without problems. Since I upgraded to firmware version 2.02 on the 7D I have had problems with LR encoding or decoding my photos on import. LR then flags the photo as "damaged" and refuses to do anything with it. If I view the photos in Canon sw or zoombrowser they appear normal. Anybody else had this type of problem?
I live in South Africa and LR4.2 is sold at inflated prices locally, about 4 times what you would normally pay if you convert $ to the local currency - Bandwidth restrictions on adsl make it impractical to download it so I can't really "try" it. I would be happy to get it from B&H or Amazon but don't want to do that until I know there are not other problems associated with LR/7D firmware that is why I put it out there..
Aaaha moment came when I found the cable to the NAS box was loose in the socket causing the corrupted file transfer - my own stupidity blamed it on the recent change in firmware glad LR is back
