The chain link fence gives a slightly ominous feeling to the image, and it fills in any undesirable "empty" spaces in the composition- so it's at least a two-fer.
I'm glad you have some from inside the fence that you're going to share with us.
I love western American RR stations from that era.

my new lens is magic - it be a 16-35 and not only gives me images like this but with great depth of field. in some places the lens is worthless, and sometimes magic, or fun anyway . . . .
