I hope it will be WELL worth the money.

My current setup is

Canon Rebel XS
EFS 55-250mm Telelens
EFS 18-55mm lens

so its a fairly big upgrade lense wise and I took the advise from this board of upgrading lens first..

so hopefully I wont be let down seeing slim to no difference in shots, unless its just me that SUXX

I have both the 55-250 and the 70-200 II I have used with a 7D. The 55-250 is a nice lens and for outdoor/good light, is very capable. When the light is lower, the 70-200 will really show up the difference.

how about in same conditions, will you see the difference in price?

I mean we are talking $2000, I take it AF is faster and it should give more clear photo with the L lens correct?

It should only take two shots for you to see a difference in sharpness, contrast and color at just about any lens setting, never mind the new capabilities of the larger aperture.

and took it to the ballgame today too, it was murky and rainy, but still pretty good pictures..

I LOVE THE FAST AF, no more in and out focus back and fourth that I got with my 55-255 lens, I think I had 5-10 out of focus pictures where as I normally discard 30-40 out of 120-150 pictures
