This pretty little lady was in full shade with the sun behind her. I was able to get a nice exposure by using a light modifier - our house. The sun reflected off the side of our house onto the doe and I'm happy with the result. So all you have to do is make sure the subject is in your yard, or take your house with you...
Thanx for looking, and as always, C&C appreciated ~ Ron

A dandy image, Ron.
Be proactive: Buy a motorhome with soft-white sides, drive around until you see a dear deer, lure it to the best place with natural but especially tasty foods, and click away.
Or- like you- sit on your butt waiting for something to happen .

Thanx Tom - the house really did even out the light.

Hey Charlie - I wasn't sitting on my butt - oh wait - I was sitting on my butt...

I've used reflections for walls previously too Ron. The can make for great light sources. Nice shot.
Thanx Ken. I will have to pay attention now as I don't normally shoot the deer when back lit, but it worked out nicely.
