I've shot a ton of sports -- but have no motorsports/racing experience at all. With that being said, I'm not crazy about number one. Something about the big grey triangular section of background above the yellow bike just looks very unnatural. Maybe if it were matted or framed it would look different -- because that color is very close to the color of the FM website -- which almost gives the entire photo a strange looking shape. Just my $.02. Love the color, sharpness and panning, but the BG bugs me.
Nice panning, colors, sharpness... but, in the first one the fact that the leading bike is clipped just kills it for me. In the second shot, same thing, the fact that the bike is clipped bugs me.
Maybe in cropping both much tighter you could make them work...
