If the sensor size and MPs are true it would possibly have a pixel size slightly bigger that the 5D3's 6.25 and the 5D2s 6.5, not a huge difference, but bigger and that might mean slightly more light gathering/sensitivity, which could possibly help with shadow/DR, it wouldn't be much but who knows...

Have some common sense here guys... the 5d2 basically has these "specs" at this price point
+1
Besides GPS and wifi features and without knowing anything else, it's just like having a fresh & updated look to the 5D2. Imagine this, if it's true, this thing will be in the market for the next 2-3 years. A major failure if you ask me.
I've been thinking about adding FF (have a 7D) but this doesn't sound like it will make me get my wallet out. Its bad enough I'll be looking at getting at least one more lense (probably a slightly used 24-105) but then I have to settle for 1/4000 and only 1 cross AF point for $2K?? Next thing I'll find out it doesn't have MFA (definite deal breaker).
The 5D mkIII is what I'd really like but they have it going for $3.5K in Canada (and then I have to pay 10% tax). That won't get approved by the CFO no matter how much I tell her I love her! :-(
The 5D mkii, especially used, does tempt me slightly but I shoot indoor sports a fair bit and I haven't heard great things about its AF capabilities in this role.
Sigh, I guess I'll just keep my money or spend on glass (a used 100-400 might be better investiment anyway).
I was hoping for basically a FF 7D. I knew the fps would drop to about the 4 or 5 range and that they might drop the built in flash but hoped it would be close other than that (especially if not priced under $2K).
I think Canon has finally and utterly lost the plot.
I mean why? What person not owning either Nikon or Canon would possibly pick this over D600? They better be really loving some Canon lens or obsessed with the brand.... And the newbies probably won't know what from the Canon vs Nikon lenses.
Granted this may just be another absurd spec list rumor. It's only CR1 on CR.

I thought Nikon was in for a hurt when they released the spec of the D600.. no MA, 1/4000 max shutter... but it looks like Canon has outdone themselves... what the heck is the 11 AF points and only the center is cross type :S

The specs are terrible, but if the price is right it could be a game-changer. At $1,499 it might do for full frame what the original Digital Rebel did for affordable dSLRs.
price is said to be $2100
but as I said, this is probably just some made up BS by someone in a dark basement somewhere

truely sad...
Canon needs a MAJOR sensor upgrade, NOT even one that in the same league as the Sony ones, but ones that are BETTER.
We all want, and need, better dynamic range, pure and simple.
Then, and only then, would I be interested.
I'd like to see a TRUE NATIVE ISO 50 also, the high ISO performance seems okay, though, that is my opinion.
I'm guessing they don't have any right now.
are you serious? um when Sony makes lenses as good as Canon then there will be something to talk about,oh the over priced Zeiss lenses dont count...you want the best Caon offers right now its either the 5D mk3 or the 1D-X..if this 6D is true its a budget FF not catered to internet babies wanting more and more and more...geez btw we dont even know the REAL specs now do we,nor if real
