Bookings I'd say planner/venue/photographer referral.
Former bride referrals is practically 0. Most of our brides tend to be from out of town having their wedding here in San Antonio. Totally blows, actually... just the way it is. Most of the brides locally are going with the uber cheap photographers, and it's the brides from Houston/Dallas and out of state who tend to hire me. Which is funny because I'm not even crazy expensive, freaking San Antonio.
Majority of inquiries and bookings are through the website. I have just passed my first year though (a few days ago) so hopefully this will slowly change and referrals will increase.
Of inquiries I'd say about 75% are from former clients, 15% from venues/planners and 10% are random/internet.
Out of all those, pretty much 100% of what we book are the ones from former clients. We tend to book pretty far out so most of our clients don't have other details planned before booking us and the former client referrals tell them that up front.
We get maybe 5-10% of our inquiries from the internet and we maybe book one per year. We get 15% of inquiries from client-to-client referrals which is increasing now that we've been in town for over a year but I doubt it will grow very large. The overwhelming majority of what we book is through vendor/coordinator referrals. The clients I work with don't book who their friends book, they book who their hired experts tell them to. Depends on the people obviously.
