I joined FM... I don't know a year or two ago, because it is obviously THE place to move gear right? Well the more I hung around, the more I realized that there is so much more, and now I find myself here at least daily - if not a few times a day.
I'm no stranger to internet forums, I'm sure many of you have seen my name in 50 other places, but THIS forum has me stumped. I thought I would 'get it' the more I hung around but its just not clearing up for me....
HOW THE EFF DO YOU KEEP TRACK OF THINGS?
I'm quite used to VBulletin style forums, with the 'subscribed threads' areas, and the 'new posts' buttons, but this place seems a bit more difficult to keep track of things. I usually have to go to "my posts" to see what threads I've posted to, and then go thread by thread to see if there are any updates. As well, to get notifications means you have to sign up for emails, but I don't like my inbox being obliterated every few hours.
Sign up for the "Get email notification" on the threads you follow, and then set a rule in your email to have them automatically moved to an FM folder that your can peruse at your leisure.
