p.1 #1 · I usually don't endorse a product but I'm thrilled with this.

The latest version of Pro Retouch from Totally Rad actions.

This is from a recent bridal shoot. I cropped the image tight so you can see the results easier.

Unretouched image.

This version was retouched using the original Pro retoucher. I typically dial down the opacity so it doesn't look too "plastic"

The latest version of Pro retouch. It offers a lot more control over the fine details of an image. I have actions that I can use to add shine to the hair, glow to the skin, add a faux tan if you want, etc. Basically Kubota ramped up the tools to allow for really fine tuning an image.

I see very very little difference in these images. What my eyes are drawn to are the imperfections in the skin (it's not bad, but seeing as how we're comparing retouched photos...)

I'll take this down if you want, but here's my stab at it in a few minutes with manual healing/cloning in photoshop and Portraiture and Viveza. P.S. I know colors are off, that happened in saving the image from here to my computer.

I'm sorry to say all of the retouched ones look very mannequin to me, there's just something that doesn't work to my eyes about monotone skin.

Chris, the beauty of the newest version is that you can easily tweak many separate areas of a photo for various effects instead of just one global effect. This means you can go as light as you want or heavy.

Here's another version when I went a little heavier.

It's easier to see if the pics are side by side but there are subtle differences.

Seems like a quick job with the heal brush would do the job if you wanted to remove any distractions.

I can see the difference.

I reckon most brides would prefer to have the look of the re-touched version.

In all honesty though, you can do this with ease using brushes in LR.

Willing to bet it way faster and cheaper too.

Unless LR v.4 has some magical brushes, I would not think you could get the same level of control. I know that my LR v.3 cannot perform this kind of retouching.

But again, all I'm saying is that Pro retouch v. 2 is way better than v.1. Yes, there are other ways and methods of retouching, but this works for me.

It does have some magical brushes Jimi!

I use 'em quite a bit.

Used one for this photo of the wee fella.

Works for me!

John was this pro retouch from Kubota or Pro Retouch from Totally Rad. I got an email the other day fom TR informing me V2 of their Pro retouch was out as well? Was curious if anyone had tired it and their thoughts.
