The new version brings the following improvements:

Various bug fixes
"We've also added support for the Canon EOS-1D X. This superb camera can now be calibrated in the same way as the EOS 5D Mark III. The interface to the camera offers the same functionality so this camera will be used in MSC mode, but with the improvements to the analysis and prediction algorithm, there should generally be fewer shots required to get a result, so the testing will be quicker."

From the FoCal FAQ regarding the Mac release, last entry...
When will the Mac version be released?
This is another question we've been asked a lot. We had hoped to have the Mac version released in June, but due to the release of the Nikon D800, Canon 5Dmk3 and Canon 1D-X and a few issues with their introduction the Mac version has been somewhat delayed.
We also recently took the decision to make the user interface of the Mac version better than our original intention which has slowed things a little but will produce a better product when it's released.
We are hoping to have something out in August 2012 - as this is written that's about 3 weeks time, and it doesn't take much to delay things. We have increased the size of the team working on the Mac development, and really hope to have it available very soon.

I'm very happy with FoCal for my 7D and I will upgrade today to the v1.6 but for 5D mk III it is real pain to use. I'm really waiting for the automatic adjustment for the 5D mk III

I have focal pro and I have been searching the web for the better part of the day while playing with the software in between. Where can I get a set of directions to either manually or semi manually adjust my 1DX.

i have a 5D3 which is also "semi-automatic" due to the bug in the Canon API...
(I'm at work now and don't have FoCal or my camera with me so this is from memory - just did this 2 days ago)
i don't think there is a button that starts up the "semi-automatic" mode, i just click on the "fully automatic" button and it prompts you when it needs you to do something (mostly set the MA adjustment values).
I added the MA menu to the "My menus" to get to it quicker each time.
