Dayton airport, A concourse. Still learning all the quirks of the X10, but it sure is a lot more fun to lug than a 5DII/24-105 and a lot quicker to get the results than my Leica CL. Almost the equivilent of the two together. Not exactly what I wanted, but security was starting to look at me strange and I didn't want to explain.
It looks like you are getting the hang of the X10. I have a Leica M9, which I love, but it does take some time getting accustomed to the manual rangefinder focusing.
Thanks for the comments. I think the biggest thing with going from a dSLR to the X10 was learning to trust it to take good pics. Half of that was getting comfortable with all the functions and learning the 10% of the cameras ability that I want to use and the other was realizing that it really can take great pics- with out the caveats of a small sensor, plain viewfinder and zoom lens. It can take great pictures, period.
One of the things I really just discovered was in manual focus mode the rear display gives a 'depth of focus' indicator that shows what range of distances will be in focus. I wish my 5DII had that.
I travel a lot, I'm not in the frequent flier program, I'm in the infrequently seeing my family program. I'm still looking for the perfect camera that will travel well, get the pictures I see in my head, and allow me to take advantage of digital. While I dream of an M9, the X10 is a good workhorse to figure things out- till an M10 comes and I can afford relms M9
