p.1 #1 · Kaylee - Gorgeous Senior Rep + My 1st Attempt at OCF
You all will be proud of me...I not only switched my lenses up throughout this session (I used my 70-200L, 85L, 16-35L, AND 50mm 1.4) but I finally dusted off the OCF equipment I bought on an Amazon Christmas special some 2 years ago and made an honest attempt to figure it out and take some actual portraits utilizing it. I'm tired of being boring. haha
This is Kaylee, one of my senior reps this year. This is my 1st year trying a senior rep program - if it's successful, I may try to expand it to Las Vegas next year. This year, I'm just sticking with the 2 local high schools. I had a great afternoon with Kaylee yesterday and really tried to get more variety. In light of recent threads, she went with me alone (with Mom's blessing)...I really have an easier time connecting with my seniors this way. Moms sometimes like to talk your ear off and it's difficult to get that one on one conversation (and thus, comfortable comaraderie) with the senior...

15 LOVE this spot but haven't used it in about 3 years. We arrived as the sun was setting...we were chasing the sun in the car as it set behind me. lol
16
17 *drumroll please*...I tried my OCF after the sun set here. It was mostly experimenting and playing around...I'm not entirely comfortable with it yet. I did discover that the light stand is not high enough for standing poses...my catchlights were in the 3 o'clock position in those and I don't like that. I had no assistant and it was windy, so I had to turn my umbrella against the wind and jimmy rig the light stand with the chairs I brought along so it wouldn't take off like a kite. Next time...bring an assistant. lol
18 A little more dramatic but I like it I think.
Still loads more to weed through and edit, but this is a good sampling. I have 4 more senior reps to work with over the next 2 weeks...very excited!
Going to add a few more...sorry, these are totally out of order.

21 I'm well aware of all the rule breaking going on in this photo, but I love it just the way it is.

Thanks J.R.! I don't know what took me so long to try it...it really seems like it could be a lot of fun. I definitely need either a taller lightstand and sandbags, or a regular assistant next time. It was really fun playing though!

Nice set Lisa. This feels like you were in a experimental mood and did a lot of stuff that you don't usually do... different lenses, locations, and a bit cooler processing (fits the urban stuff well).

Great set Lisa! Your OCF worked well. I like most of the poses, though in the last two I might have shot from a slightly lower perspective. I like 2, 3, 6, 14, 15 and 17 best.
What are you using for OCF equipment? Also, what was your ISO and exposure on the last two?

Very nice I love them all. 14, 15, and 18 for me. They are all amazing though. The top horizon line in 10 bothers me with the bricks not being even, may want to fix that, or it may just be my OCD. All in all a stunning set. She should be proud, and so should you. Thanks for sharing.

A wonderful set of images; it's hard to say anything to improve on this!
#1 and #15 are stunning and, IMHO, #13 would have been even better with a diagonal composition.
