p.1 #1 · bokeh : focal lenght vs shooting distance

Ok so we all know that the longer the focal lenght, the more bokeh you'll get, and also the closer you are to your subject vs background distance, the more bokeh you'll get also...

My question is the following : will you get more bokeh at close distance with short focal lenght or at longer distance from the subject but with a longer focal lenght?

(like shooting up close at 35mm or shooting from farther away at 200mm?

thank you

The beauty of bokeh is in the eye of the beholder and the lens and camera (crop factor) you are using. From the looks of the equipment in your profile, it appears you have everything you need to answer the question you asked.

Depending on what you're after in bokeh as well as composition (yes, I know there is another thread raging about short DOF):

1)

2)

3)
