p.1 #1 · Can Gitzo GT1531 hold Nikon D800 + Nikon 24-70mm ?

Hi as my Subject says " Can Gitzo GT1531 hold Nikon D800 + Nikon 24-70mm " i used to have Manfrotto 190 xprob which was little heavy and not sturdy to hold combo with D800+24-70. Iam planing to buy gitzo with Markin Q3T head.
Please help

Yes, the 1531 can hold this combo. Unless you're considering a 1531 as a lightweight travel tripod, you'll find a 2 series Gitzo to be more stable for everyday use.

Joe Thanks for your reply actually i was thinking to get Traveler 1542t or Gt 1531 but as you re-command 2 Series would you kindly tell me which 2 series model you re-command ?
How about Gt 1542 Traveler?

Something like the GT-2531 will be more stable, and also more versatile if you decide to use longer lenses in the future.

The 1542T is a traveller tripod. So I would not go for that one unless you need a very small travel tripod

4 sec for travel and it has really no issues with flex.

i use the RRS TVC-14 traveler legset which is built more like a GT2541
