A little respect...goes a long way around here, dude.
When you grow up, maybe...just maybe...you'll have 1/10th the talent & experience Lars has. Maybe.

Typical and smug. Did you even read my opening questions and responses?

Maybe someone could explain this:

What difference does the original origin (NEW vs. REFURB) make when someone sells a used lens or body on the B&S? I would think at this point it is simply "USED" and the price wouldn't reflect the original source. Example: should a seller with a 2 year old lens be admonished for not disclosing that the lens was originally purchased as refurbished.

This could also apply to gear which has passed through several owners ... should the price asked be less than market-value for each previous owner, even though the item is still in excellent condition? Example: should a lens being sold by the second owner be worth less than the same condition lens being sold by an original owner?

I have seen posted comments indicating both situations are expected ... and I don't quite understand why.

Obviously, that is a choice made by the sellers & buyers. Such factors may not be important to you but are important to others...this results in buyers & sellers being able to find their 'compatible' transaction partner. Some buyers will only want to buy a 1st owner item...there are specific sellers for that criteria. Some buyers won't care about how many previous owners, just the current one...there are specific sellers for that too. Nothing wrong with sellers stating such information...it's just a sales tool for those that are interested in such things.

He was responding to your quoted remarks. I was still trying to come up with something suitably polite when the 'monkey nailed it.

Now, I'm going to take a nap...
