Question: I learned years ago that in gorilla society, you never look the silverback in the eye. You just use your peripheral vision more so. Looking a silverback in the eye means you challenge him for his position...which could lead to ugly consequences! So is this even true? I believe it is, but how do you guys get such awesome images of gorillas without getting caught up in a bout of fistacuffs? Do you take a quick shot then look away submissively?
