Yesterday I posted an image Called "Algonquin Loon Family" somewhat of an artistic image. Today I would like to share some of the other 1200 images I took of this family last June over a period of 2 days , with early morning/late afternoon shooting of about 12 hrs. in total.
I like the first as it is a sweet moment. It would be nice if you could crop tighter. The second is a great moment, is it possible to crop giving the adult more space to look into? This photo might work best with the subject centered, place the eyes on the upper thirds line. 3 is nice, a bit soft? The last is sweet, can your crop a bit tighter?

Nice set, Alan. The last two are my favorites.
You should get away with f8 and much lower iso.

Yes Chris, I will give it a try next time , the light and the action was changing so fast as the sun was rising I just kept my finger on the release , inexperience on my part. Alan
