I'd like to introduce myself to everyone as this is my first post. My name is John and i'm an amateur / hobbyist that would love to take my photography skills to the professional level and eventually enter the world of wedding photography (wishful thinking). I understand that i'm nowhere near ready of becoming a wedding photographer but that is my goal and that's the reason why i'm introducing myself in this section.
Here's my current setup. 5D3, 35L, 85L 100L Macro, 135L, 580exii. I know that camera gear alone doesn't create great images but this is a life long investment for me. I'm also investing in myself by continuing to take photography courses at UCSD and always reading on becoming more creative. I've landed a few small commercial works and had my images used in local advertisements.
I love the creativity and passion of some members in this forum. I truly admire the time, effort and the honesty of the feedbacks delivered by the members. I'm here to learn and perhaps share any knowledge I have that may benefit other members. I'm a respectful person and would always keep my replies in a tasteful and professional way. I'm not a cyber bully nor do I entertain one. However, I always welcome honest critique from others as this open eyes to a different level of creativity.
Tony - If you ever come down to SD for a shoot and need someone to hold your light stand or reflectors don't forget to holler at me. or we can just grab a cold one by the beach.
Robert M - I came from a 20D before the 5D3. It was a long wait but worth it for me. The glass collection were patiently acquired as I searched the net for great deals that are hard to pass up on. Or sometimes i get it from the military exchange store.
I've seen the caliber of the wedding photographers here and you all deserves nothing less than what I had posted on my intro.
Hardly - I haven't done any wedding / engagement related shoot ever. But i'm working to get some practice shoots with my friends. As soon as I get a session done I'll surely post it as soon as I can.
Ziffl3 - I'm in South bay. Bonita area to be exact. One day, i'd like to move to encinitas area.
