Anyone here using the X-Pro1 with wireless flash triggers? (RadioPopper JrX) .. Since RP Transmitter has the antenna on the bottom, I had to use a hot shoe adapter for it. But I can't seem to get it to work on the X-Pro1. It wont trigger the flash.
I used the same hot shoe adapter with the RadioPopper JrX on the X100 and it worked perfectly. I tried looking through all the menu options and going over the manual but can't find any options that relates to it. I recall on the X100, there was an option external flash or something like that which I had to set for it to work.
Anyone? .. or anyone have success using other triggers? if so, any particular setting you had to set in the camera menu for it to work?

Do you have silent mode enabled? If so, the hot shoe is also disabled. Took me a while to figure this out but now it's working fine with my PCB triggers.

That might be it!!! I do recall having it on silent mode. Didn't know that it disables the hotshoe. I'll definitely test this out when I'm home. Thanks for the info!

I reckon I'm the only guy in the entire universe who owns the X-Pro1, a Rayqual Nikon F-mount to X-Pro1 body adapter for mounting his ZF.2 lenses. That may well be because I've mounted the ZF.2 50/2 MP, and the result was crap. It appears as though the focus plane is razor thin; bokeh sucks. and that likely has to do with the fact that I just cannot seem to get the damn shot focused. No focus confirm, zip, nada; and going x10 in live view introduces so damn much jitter secondary to my hold, that I'm "shooting in the blind." So....
anybody else here got this setup? or, anybody with any recommendations about what I'm doing wrong? should be doing?

Not sure, but I have no problem focusing manual lenses. I use both 10x and just the EVF with no magnification and usually don't have any problem. I do have the thumbs up attachment which I think really helps to hold the camera stable. I am using the following lenses right now.
Contax G 21mm
Canon FD 24mm f2.8
Contax G 28mm
Fuji 35mm
Contax G 90mm
Vivitar Series 1 90mm macro
I used the rear lcd most of the time for macro shots, but I faired pretty well even hand holding at approx. 1:1.5 magnification.

What's wrong with using the XR 60mm for macro?
I don't think anyone is saying there's anything wrong with the fuji macro. It's a fine lens. For me, the Vivitar macro is less than a third of the price and just as good (for macro at least). If you were referring to anthonysemone, my assumption is that he already had the 50MP.
i got my CY and EF adapters in recently .. Go the EF adapter mainly to use my Rokkor 58/1.2 EF Converted. Ive only taken a few test shots, at f1.2 its definitely tough to focus but at least Im able to focus to infinity which I couldnt do on my 5D2.
I used the CY adapters with the zeiss 25/2.8 and 28/2.8, both are easier to focus when using the 10x magnifying. Both look very good wide open from viewing form back of LCD.
