I hope you don't use an optical viewfinder with your Sony; I'd be afraid the bird would mistake my nose for a fruit or something at that distance ...
Good catch on the street photography down there, and the tilt reflects the craziness of the Conch Nation...

Keep havin' fun!
Jerry

Nicely done Mark! I'll bet that you are snapping away in Key West. We just got back from Maui and I took 1000's of shots!

Hi Jerry,

Thanks for the nice comment and I did have reservations getting so close.

Yep, did not use an optical viewvinder for sure. I asked the bird's owner if the bird would bite and he said no. When holding the camera a couple of inches from the bird he showed no real reaction so I just kept shooting away. He was a very cooperative model

Hi John, thanks for the nice comment. I am snapping away down here. I bet you had a blast in Maui too. Looks like it's about time for us to get together and shoot at your pond this spring?

Hi Travis, thanks and yes, it was a bit scarey even using live view, but as you know, you do whatever it takes to "get the shot" for the WA

Thank you Roberta, and thanks for the well-wishes for the rest of our trip here. I did not see the trained cats, but that sounds hilarious just like many of the things you can see here.

Thanks Robert,

, I never thought of the beak looking like an almond. It does though, plus you might be hungry
