I like the idea, having spent some time in the Army and understanding the value of the "field meal," but in this image, I can neither see what's in the cup, nor tell what the package in front of it is. Perhaps if you pan out to get more of the shot in focus? Maybe more from above? Anyway, take it for what it's worth - my $.02.

First of all, Welcome to the WA! It's cool when your first post is an entry into a contest. I will say the lighting is well don and the depth of field helps to isolate the center area nicely. I agree with Greg that if there was something more compelling within the focus area it would be a stronger image.

Gents,

Thank you for the responses. Having spent years in the Marine Corps and continuing to work with the military...trial by fire greatly decreases the time it takes to learn a craft. I was turned onto this website by a friend who is a professional. Look forward to learning much more in the future.
