^Nice mate, must be a satisfying feeling. Always loved the colour of lightning shots, and this is no different.

^Lovely shot Brian. Where was this? Always makes me jealous seeing other people's photos from walking, way too many places to visit.

To stick with the theme, a few from my Saturday walk:

And one to give you a bit of context about the area we were walking, the Tyndall Range on the West Coast of Tasmania:

Awesome day!

I'm glad someone unburied this thread.

Excellent work, all!

Here are a few "abstracts" from my recent trip to Yellowstone.

Lovely shots Ucphotog, particularly the second one. The last looks like it could be an aerial shot!

Thanks.

I wish the last shot had been an aerial shot! Grand Prismatic Spring looks amazing from above (based on other people's photos). The best I could do was stand on a bench.

It was near Darrington in Washington State. The hike was only a couple miles each way.

Grayham, What are those odd looking halo like objects in the foreground, are they on purpose? Thank you!

Lieutenant Z, Thank you very much! It is very lovely indeed, and very well deserved! I thank God everyday, that his angels have left her to me! I can't continue to comprehend the rapid ingress nor regress, followed by progressed completion of the damned malady, that has been almost, JUST a year past!

You mean the background? If you're seeing weird patterns that might be due to jpeg compression or limitations of your screen. (I see a little posterization on my Macbook screen)

YES, That is it, posterization, thank you! I thought I was going madder! So you can see it too? I thought it was just me, or my computer! I have seen it in my photo's, but since I have no exact clue to what I am doing, I pasted it off, as just my bad skills, or possibly my iMac not being calibrated!
I have done some research on the matter, sort of, however, I still had no real clue, so I just ignored it, and then, when I your photo's, and knowing that you are much more capable than I am, I figured I would ask you, in order to either, understand this what has been to me, an unexplained phenomena, or at the very least, have a better view on it!
I also automatically assumed, that you meant it to be, in the form of composition! Well, thank you, for letting me know, and for helping me get a clearer picture of what I am seeing, and experiencing! -Happy photography! -Americo.rodriguez

Warning, my writing skills, like my photography understandings, are very limited, and at most times, atrocious! What you see is the result, of poor attempt at grammar, syntax, and improper use of semantics! The misplaced commas, the unneeded dual spacing, and misuse of paragraphing, plus more, are the circumstances, of improper learning by the student.
