I've just started figuring out the GXR and I recently happened to try Capture One rather than my typical Lightroom to process some shots. While there are differences in how most RAW files are interpreted between the two programs the difference with the GXR files was significant....and I much preferred Capture One.
Ricoh GXr M-module with ZM 25/2.8 - Capture One Pro 7
For some reason the Ricoh files are pretty sensitive to which converter one uses. I actually dropped Aperture when my most used camera was the GXR, as the conversions were terrible and just plagued with color artifact. I found RPP to be the best. It had the least color artifact, and the film emulations were outstanding. Lightroom 4 is adequate, but not quite as good. I never tried Capture One, but your posted photo has great colors!

Nice photo, but as far as the colors the sky looks too magenta on my calibrated monitor.

I agree, plus I think I need to reduce the overall saturation a bit...edited. I think it's better. The glass is tinted slightly so It's making this harder than I thought it would.
The question of course is whether this is the end of the line, or if there will be a replacement? Hopefully the latter.
I'd love to see the new GR's lens and sensor available as a GXR module.
Nice image Cal! Reminds me of similar architecture at McMaster University in their recently renovated health sciences library...
Hi Ron, I sure hope there will be a new body coming.
If I am not mistaken you can already buy a module, although a zoom, with the same sensor for the GXR namely the RICOH GX-R A16 24-85mm f3.5-5.5
That same sensor seems to be in the Pentax Klls

They probably got a package deal...it's York University BTW
I picked up the GXR when Henry's was clearing them out...great deal, but the rumor is that they bought up the remaing stock at a real deal in order to liquidate. Too bad, now that I've used it, I really like the camera and were an update to the body come out, or a FF M-module I'd be first in line.
I am thoroughly enjoying the armchair traveling I get to do with your shots, Michiel. Thanks!
This one is with the Biogon C 21. I could've gotten everything in a single frame, but I needed some room for perspective distortion correction, so I did it as a two-shot pano. Wide open, so I had to remove the vignetting in the original shots but I put it back post-stich.
